YES Becomes First Sports Network to Provide Single-Screen Interactive Content on Connected Devices

YES App’s First-Of-Its-Kind Live Stats Feature Now Available onBig Screens Starting With YES’ Mariners-Yankees Telecast Tonight

In yet another industry first, the YES Network is the first sports network – regional or national – to provide single-screen interactive stats on connected devices. The YES App’s first-of-its-kind Live Stats feature, in conjunction with YES’ New York Yankees telecasts, is now available on big screens starting with YES’ Mariners-Yankees telecast tonight (7:00 pm ET).

The Emmy® Award-winning YES App, in conjunction with its partner Ease Live, an Evertz company, is synchronizing the fan experience by allowing fans, for the first time, to explore real-time stats while watching a live game on the same big screen. This new Live Stats experience will be available via Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV and Google TV at launch.

The YES App’s Live Stats package is the most advanced interactive overlay offering on a sports app. Among the stats and information updated in real-time: individual batter and pitcher stats (daily, season and career); real-time play-by-play; a pitch-by-pitch feature including the type of pitch and the pitch speed; batting order; defensive lineups; each team’s available bench and bullpen players; division standings; and more. The YES App offers a similar Live Stats offering in conjunction with YES’ Brooklyn Nets telecasts. Ease Live is YES’ partner whose technology powers the Live Stats feature.

Fans can control the YES App Live Stats experience via either their TV remotes or their phones. This launch is the latest example of YES’ re-imagining the sports viewing experience, giving them the ability to watch the game how and where they want to watch it. Fans, in essence, are in the director’s chair. In the process, YES is providing popular content that enhances engagement and a sense of community.

YES expects to launch two additional popular YES App features – Pick-N-Play Live and Watch Party – as a second-screen experience on connected devices in the coming months, allowing users to utilize these features on their smartphones or tablets while watching the stream on the big screen.

Pick-N-Play Live is the first-ever real-time, in-game, single-screen watch-and-play experience. The revolutionary free-to-play prediction game was the first to be integrated within a live sports broadcast. Watch Party enables friends to watch YES’ live-streamed Yankees and Nets telecasts on the YES App together while seeing and chatting with each other. This was the first-ever feature of its kind for any live sports rightsholder – regional or national – in the country.
